Coach Walters is a graduate of Pickerington Central High School (2004), and Muskingum University (2008), where he played basketball, and ran track and cross country.

Coach Walters enters his 4th year as the head coach of the Lady Generals Basketball program.  This is Coach Walters’ 10th season as a basketball coach.  Previously, Coach Walters spent 1 year as an 8th grade boys coach, 3 years as the Lady Generals JV Coach (47-17, .770 winning %), and 3 years as the Varsity Assistant under Coach Doug Fisher.

Coach Walters’ varsity record is 64-14 after 3 seasons as a head coach.

Coach Walters also serves as Sheridan’s Boys Cross Country team head coach. His cross country teams have won a record 11 consecutive Muskingum Valley League titles and have qualified to 6 state cross country meets finishing 3rd in 2015 and runner-up in 2017.  Coach Walters’ basketball coaching achievements include 2 MVL titles, 3 Sectional titles and 1 District title/ elite 8 appearance.
